My new Bosch kitchen machine was collection for checking. The engine ran hot after minutes of bread dough kneading. Without the aid of powerful kitchen machine while I would like to bake, I went back to the manual mode of cake baking. I saw a nice photos of a sweet potato chiffon cake. And I went for it though no clear steps are shown. The ingredients were for a 10-inch cake. I measured 80% for a 9-inch cake.
5 large egg yolks
pinch of salt
170g baked potato and mashed with 50g milk
100g cake flour
5 Egg whites
pinch of cream of tartar
I beat the egg yolks and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add the salt, mashed potato, honey and milk and mix well.
Add the cream of tartar to the egg whites. Beat until foamy. Add sugar in 2-3 batch. Beat the egg whites until it is stiff.
Fold in the sifted flour in 2-3 batches.
Fold in the egg whites.
I put it in a 170C preheated oven. But baked it at 160C for around 35 minutes.
